In Memoriam of Phil Johnston

Phil Johnston (Phil J) was a founding partner, trusted colleague and dear friend, whose influence on Decom, and on all of us who worked alongside him, is immeasurable.

Phil brought not only expertise and experience, but also warmth, humour, and an extreme generosity of spirit. He had a genuine interest in people, whether they were clients, suppliers, or team members, and he took great pride in building a business that treated everyone with respect.

His sudden passing in December 2025 was a profound shock, and he is deeply missed. While he is no longer with us, Phil’s legacy lives on in the company, and the tradesmen he helped shape, the standards he set, and the many relationships he nurtured over three decades.

We honour Phil’s memory with gratitude for his partnership, friendship, and the lasting mark he has left on Decom and on our lives. Gone but will never be forgotten.
