Centre Bush Substation Greenfield Project
The existing Centre Bush 33/11kV Substation located in Central Southland was upgraded as part of a series of projects to expand the 66kV transmission network into the Oreti Valley. The new substation was built on the original site.
Preparations to offload the existing substation began in November 2016, with the installation of an 11kV regulator to support the voltage while the substation was rebuilt. In January 2017 removal of the existing substation took place. Civil works commenced late January. The new substation was commissioned on the 2nd of August 2017.
