Peter Leith - Managing Director (ETC, NZCE - Electrical, REA)
Peter is a talented engineer who has 35 years experience in the electrical industry. He has extensive experience in the design of Protection, Control and SCADA systems.
Starting his career as a Draughtsman with the NZ Electricity Department, Peter has progressed from a Design Draughtsman with the Southland Electric Power Supply, to Senior Design Engineer with the Power Company and then to Design Services Team Leader with PowerNet. During this period he has also gained considerable experience in project management.
Peter has a vast working knowledge of the following equipment and systems:
- Substation design of civil, protection and control systems
- Siemens, Kingfisher, GE Harris substation automation and control
- AutoCAD electrical drawing
- IFIX SCADA database configuration and commissioning
- Landis and Gyr Load Control plant mainframe, communication, control and plant tuning and fault response
- Project management
Peter and wife Sharon have three children. His main sporting interest is playing squash, although other interests include tramping, water skiing, softball, touch rugby and social golf.
